Austin the Turtle

Mayson's teacher Mrs. Miller has a turtle that lives at school and comes home with class members on the weekend. We've had him a few times this year now, one of which was over Thanksgiving break. Asher thought he was pretty interesting, and would lay on the floor and stare into his cage. The turtle kept trying to climb up the front of the cage & he thought it was pretty funny.

Thanksgiving Dinner

This year Larry got to be in charge of Thanksgiving dinner, and it was amazing!! I had gone in for some outpatient surgery on Tuesday and was sore, so Larry took over. He did a great job, so great maybe we ought to let him cook again next year! He is such a great guy. The food was good and we all had a good day hanging out together.

Piano Recital

Kaleb, Mayson and I had our piano recital, and everyone did great. I am really proud of both the kids and how much progress they have made. I have to say though, I for one am glad it is over. I can't believe how nervous I was to get up and play in front of everyone. Everyone who was there was friends of ours, so it's not like it was really an intimidating crowd, but either way, my hands were shaking!! Oh well, I'm sure it's good for me, right?

Miscellaneous Photos of the Family

The two older kids have been taking tennis lessons at school, so we all went to play tennis as a family. The two littlest ones stole the show as they ran around chasing the ball and just plain looking cute.

There's nothing like raking all the leaves out and jumping in the pile when fall comes to Cleveland. The kids had their friends over that day, and they all took my nice pile of leaves and spread it all over the front yard.
This is Asher's new favorite place to read his books. He climbs into Ziggy's bed with him and looks at his books... very cute!
Here's Larry and the kids hanging out by the sea lions at the zoo. These are their favorite animals to watch, so we always spend a little time sitting there with them.
Here's Asher looking cute on the horse. He loves to ride the big hose we have too. He gets up there and bounces around and just laughs and laughs!

Dance Recital

The girls had their dance recital with their new teacher, Miss Lacee, and they both did so good. This is Rhyan's first time in dance, and she did a whole lot of wiggling her hips, but Mayson is to the point where she does a good job with getting her steps right in the dances. She also has just enough attitude that she makes the perfect dancer! They were both really cute and it was a lot of fun to watch them.

The King and I

Kaleb is in the show choir at Oxford and they go and sing at different places in the community. They sang with the high school in their production of The King and I, and Larry and I went to see them. They did an awesome job and we are really proud of him!

13 Years and Counting

So Larry and I celebrated our 13th anniversary on November 1st. Somehow I don't know where 13 years has gone, but luckily I think we like each other even more now than we did back then! Larry got me beautiful roses and a box of Godiva chocolates. He is such a sweetheart!
