The Mother-Son Dance

Kaleb and I went to the mother-son dance at Oxford and had a great night. We had dinner there and danced with an enthusiasm that is only possible in an elementary school gym. Afterward he took me out for ice cream! He looked so handsome and was such a gentleman.

Asher's First Haircut

We love Asher's curly hair, so it took a while for us to decide it was finally time for a haircut. As you can see, it was getting a little long. Really, it was more of a trim to get it all evened up. He thought he was pretty cool sitting up in the big chair with all the attention on him. He loves to be in the spotlight!! It's still a kind of long and really curly, it just looks more groomed. He's so cute, I love his hair and am hoping it stays just like it is as he gets bigger.

Alliance Conference

The beginning of March I spent four days in Richmond, VA at the conference for the Alliance of the American Dental Association. Essentially what the alliance is is dental spouses who work on dental education in schools and the community, work with awareness and lobbying for legislature that effects the dental profession, and things like that. They have their conference once a year, and as a student spouse I was able to get a grant so it was all paid for. Nothing like a free trip! Julie, Kyla and I all went down together. We had a lot of fun, met a lot of great people and learned a lot o things I am going to need to know here shortly. The statue was out in front of the Virginia capitol building in Richmond. We did a tour of it and it is unbelievable some of the huge historic things that took place in the building. It is the oldest capitol building in the nation. It was very cool to see!
