Mayson's 7th Birthday

Mayson turned seven this year - wow!! She is getting so big and is such a beautiful girl. She wanted a Wizard of Oz party this year, which worked out great because she wants to be the Wicked Witch of the West for Halloween this year. Yeah... we get to use the costume twice! Either way, she had all her friends over and had a great time. We had strawberry shortcakes (yum) for her cake, and as you can see, Asher loved the whip cream!!

Junie B. Jones

This year Mayson's tickets from Christmas were to go see Junie B. Jones at Playhouse Square. It was fun and she seemed to enjoy it. We went to Wendy's for lunch before the show and stuffed ourselves with Frosty's. Yumm!!

Crazy, crazy hair...

We had to get some pictures of the kids with their hair going crazy. They were jumping on the trampoline and it was so funny, especially Asher's. The pictures don't do it justice.

Easter

We got home just in time for Easter. The kids got to bed late and woke up to candy. There was a little concern when they went to bed, because we hadn't gotten the easter baskets dug out yet, but it all worked out. It was nice that we had conference that weekend, because there is no way we would have made it to church by nine that morning. It took a few days to get back on Cleveland time again.

Sunny California

So, the point of our trip was to go to California and check some things out to see if that is where we are going to be moving to. Larry spent some time with some local dentists for his externship, and I got to hang out with Becky and find info on housing and land and all that kind of fun stuff. Grandma Ursi kept the kids for a few days, and they had a blast with her. We got them back from her Saturday night so they could spend the rest of the trip out in California with us. Becky's kids were all out for spring break that second week, so the kids got to hang out and play all week. Everyone had a great time!! We love California... it's beautiful and sunny and warm. And the fact that the Campbells are there helps as well. It's hard to make an unbiased decision on where to go when you are hanging out with your best friend the whole time. Anyway, we went to the beach, the Mormon Battalion center in Old Town San Diego, and the Wild Animal Park. The kids spent the entire week outside and loving it. We can't wait to visit again, but we'll have to give them a little while to recover from the last time all six of us invaded before we ask again! Our last might was spent at Circus Circus in Vegas. We drove in Friday night to make it easier to get to the airport Saturday morning. The kids were up in the arcade/amusement park until about 11:30 that night and had a blast. They came home with all sorts of junk they won. According to Kaleb, it was the best night of his life!
